Developed
by an American, Stephanie Odegard, these fabulous contemporary carpets
are inspired by Tibet’s traditional arts. They are made exclusively
by local artisans using first-quality Tibetan wool and are finished in
Switzerland. Odegard uses only natural vegetal and Swiss dyes, which produces
a luminous spectrum of colors; the effect is always new. Sizes range from
4x6" to 10x14", including runners of any length and custom sizes
of up to 30x80".
Odegard is known not only for its innovation in design and
color palettes but also as an industry leader in its strict adherence
to social responsibilities in the facilities where its production takes
place. From 1998 to 2001, Odegard was the largest American contributor
to the Rugmark Foundation;
an organization that issues the only recognized certification for assuring
that carpets are manufactured free of child labor.
In Brazil, Odegard carpets are distributed by Sandra & Marcio Objetos
de Arte. |
